  i didn't know eric particularly well, and i feel terrible that i didn't reach out to him more or try to help him while i still had the opportunity.. i feel extremely helpless, but the least i can do is help others remember him who knew him better.. here is a video i've uploaded to youtube in his honor.... .

  to date JWism has defined my life and i hate that TRUTH

  and i am finding the adjustment to the real world far more difficult than i ever imagined...i f...it has been about five years since i totally woke up to the fraudulant nwt and then all my other doubts i had carried for years were proved true as well.

  but almost all of my few friends are exjw or slack jw's and i feel so isolated...my sons friends are mostly exjw too but not their gf's and they have way more normal friends .

  how have you done at replacing lifelong friends and family?

  SAD news about OOMPA......

  our friend, oompa, has passed away.

  just recieved the news a couple of hours ago, and have almost no details.

  it happened today or yesterday, he took his own life.

  This news is so terribly sad ...I just can't stand it !! He had gone through so much to end up taking his own life is so pointless . I hate that he felt this was the only way to end his personal suffering .

  I remember my first post after lurking for a while ...watch out that first step is a doozy ! I could not believe I was an adult afraid to converse with other adults about questions I was never suppose to admit I had .As you can see after 3,000 plus posts I got over it

  WELCOME not to rebelliousness ,But to FREEDOM !

  This is a great place to be ,and we ARE interested in your personal story even if it is similar to others . I think that is what helps people the most ,reading how they are not alone and that other people just like them are aware something is wrong in 'spiritual JW paradise '.

  My picture is of me on my "1st" birthday with the singer of a local band. My name came from how unhappy and troubled I felt when I first began posting here . At that time I was just beginning to see the "truth". Happily today my mind is no longer troubled ,but at peace .

  do you remember the Last assembly you attended?

  or the year or if it was a district or circuit.

  what i do remember is that we rode up with a car full of other female witnesses.

  Yes I remember it was a circuit assembly in Romeoville ,IL. fall of 2005 .

  I was already lurking here and was waking up to the 'real'truth . I remember feeling very irritated the whole weekend as I looked around the hall at a bunch of unhappy robots that were going through the motions . A key point that comes to mind was that I purposely kept track of how many times Jesus was referenced to compared to the Annoited . It was shocking ! Jesus maybe twice the rest of the time it was the governing body or slave ,annoited .

  Another thing that made me angry was once again they were using the example of some young teenager giving up a scholarship to pioneer. He was prompted to say how his decision to pioneer was THE best choice he could make ....I leaned over and whispered to my husband, " Yeah lets see what he thinks about that decision in about twenty years !"

  I left that day knowing it was my last time .

  ***As a side note I recently found out from my son an interesting story about that day .....We had taken in a young Witness boy (19 or 20) that was not from our area ,but was trying to get out on his own . Our son had asked us to let this kid stay with us a couple of weeks that summer .We agreed and let him stay in our camper in the driveway for a week or two . (ended up he leeched off of us for about six months ! Ended up moving into the house when it got too cold ) Any ways back to that assembly day ....the young man had been out partying the whole night with some girls from town and had just crawled into bed when my husband came out to wake him to leave for the assembly ,we never had any idea....nice .

  well i figured i should give you all an update.

  they will be dfing me soon for apostasy.

  it is not a huge surprise and i am not afraid nor "shaking in my boots", however i will admit it is stressful right now.

  Do you ever just start CRYING for apparently no reason?

  i spoke to a friend of mine about this not too long ago.. we are "of a certain age".. the subject came up somehow.. .

  i'll be watching a tv commercial or i'll see some people in a park or a simple passing thought will suddenly induce a profound.

  Yes ,I was just telling my husband this the other day . We are both early 50's and he said he feels the same way . I thought it was hormones ,but maybe not .

  Terry you have been through a very trying experience and your body and spirit have been stressed to maximum . I think things will even out for you as you heal . Glad you are out of the hospital !
